Text Box: Henna

Whether you are looking for a Henna Artist or Henna Workshop, KuchiTree Artisans are fully qualified and insured. We only work with the purest natural ‘Mehendi’ Henna, you are in very safe hands...

Henna is a semi-permanent natural dye and skin conditioner made from the dried, ground leaves of the Henna plant.

Henna originated from Egypt 5000 years ago and is creatively used in the Middle East, Africa and India to mark auspicious occasions, especially weddings and festivals!

Today, Henna is appealing to many as it is temporary body art which stains the skin for up to 6 weeks (usually 7 days to 2 weeks on most people) with colours ranging from light orange to deep Burgundy (depending on skin type).

We have Henna Artists who specialise in loads of designs, from Middle Eastern, Indian, Asian right through to Contemporary designs.

We draw your design on you Free-hand - No cheating or stencils - just the good old fashioned Henna Artisan way!

The Henna is very wet (and looks a little like chocolate sauce)

Now you have to chill while the Henna dries, this can take from 30-60 minutes…

And we like to refer to this part as ‘Chillin’ on Indian-time!

As it dries, the henna may crack and drop off… (this is totally normal)

When totally dry, you can remove the dried Henna paste (will look like dried mud and will feel ‘crispy’)

You will find the Henna has stained your skin and you will have a lovely pattern on you now… this will darken further over the next 24-48 hours, so don't worry if it looks a little orange!
